Pantelis Kalatzis, born in Athens in 1984, pursued studies in Business Administration and Marketing before following his true passion: directing. He honed his craft with further studies in England and France, and began his career working alongside notable Greek and international directors such as Nikos Koundouros, Nikos Nikolaidis, and Bella Tarr.

Pantelis made his directorial debut with the short film “Aposinthesi” (2009), which received international acclaim. His subsequent short film “Fiji” (2010) was also celebrated for its original screenplay. In 2011, he wrote and directed “Parathiro sto Oneiro” and the award-winning documentary “Kivotos tou Kosmou.”

In 2009, Pantelis founded Showtime Productions to introduce innovative philosophies and techniques to the Greek market. Within two years, he expanded his collaborations to include Greek and Cypriot television, publishing houses, and partnerships with producers in Kurdistan and France for TV series and music videos.

In November 2011, Kalatzis produced Nikos Koundouros’ film “The Ship for Palestine,” which garnered significant festival interest. In 2015, he produced and directed the feature film “Marionettes.”

As a producer, Pantelis Kalatzis has an impressive portfolio, including “The Bachelor” by Antonis Sotiropoulos, “Live Better” by Vasilis Kechagias, “The Bachelor 2 and 3,” “The Black Bachelor” by Yiannis Papadakos, and “Saison Morte” by Thanasis Totsikas.
