The film tells the story of Philip, a journalist who has been living isolated in a village in Greece for the last six years.

The brutal murder of Stergio’s brother friend and former partner turns his life upside down as he becomes the next target. Searching for answers, he returns to Athens, where strangely many people help him in his search.

But is the data he collects real or a well-designed trap? He soon discovers that his friend’s death is connected to a joint journalistic investigation from the past. He will find Nicoletta, a young painter and Stergio’s girlfriend, who gives him new information about the case and together they will look for the solution to the mystery. Faced with a well-kept secret, they must decide whether to run away or become “Puppets” in the hands of a powerful system.
